You've certainly noticed that some of my reviews were written both in French
and in English. It's a choice I made to stay consistent with the books I
read in English and only those.
A number of books in my TBR pile are in Shakespeare's language, and my way of sharing my pleasure (or my displeasure, because this kind of things happen...) is to write my impressions on those works in French. Which is normal, my mother language is French and nearly all my readers are French.
But I noticed that sometimes some people came on my blog from North America. And after some thinking, I thought why not rewrite the reviews in English? A little practice can't hurt, and since I read the book in question in English, this way there is a form of logical continuity. That way, I share my opinion in the usual way with my readers, and the occasional American adventurer who stumbles on my blog after searching for a book won't have come for nothing... ;)
To make them noticeable, the title of those reviews will simply have a little addition: FR + ENG plus they will be tagged as 'English review'. The usual reviews will only have the book title :)
I know some of the other French-speaking blogs also do it, so don't hesitate to tell me what you think about it.
